![]() At this point the game became what i describe to my friends as 'DayZ or rust as a text based adventure' the combat is visceral without showing a single sword thrust or dead monster and the stakes feel high everytime you are running out of water far from base. The game really began to hook me when the dusty path showed up. I kept on trying different mechanics (touching every interactive thing on the screen) to see if the game evolved and soon i began to see how the whole supplies system worked so i started to understand that the poetic lines that popped up about some woman and how dark it was and how i had to continue to stroke the fire all combined with the 'no graphics' design lead to a interactive 'novel' of sorts with excellent game play narrative cohesion. I saw it again in the app store and it constantly stayed within the top 40 or so so i thought maybe i just need to go back to it this time i would be more patient. However when i began playing i didn't feel as impressed as i would go on to be, the test scrolled fast, i couldn't tell what was happening and like most ios games i put it down after 5 mins.
